Yes. Prestige is what keeps the game fun, because you always feel like you are progressing and unlocking new things. If you just stay at the highest level it gets boring because you never level up or unlock anything.

Once you get to maximum level in COD 4 and this game too, you have the option to prestige from the barracks screen. It just starts you again from level 1.
