They gave a 8.5. I don't who else here saw it before it was pulled, but theres still no replacement. I think that there getting very insecure about the other reviews praising the game. I dont meant offend anybody (Giantbomb seems to have more freedom than gamespot) but this may be a whole Kane and Lynch situation all over can for those who know.

Well they're obviously gonna get a lot of crap for this with people saying, "OMG HOW THE FUCKZTARDSZZZ CAN YOUZ GIV3 THE M0DURNS WUFURE 8.5?!?!?"
I think that review was a bit biased, but fair nonetheless. On my PS3 versions, I saw a LOT of the environments lacking texture and looking ridiculously blocky on a lot of vehicles and some buildings. Seems like the developers didn't really care much for enviroment.
Plus, a lot of the stuff was recycled, even though the formula WORKS.

Without going into detail, if you know your GB history, the reason GB was formed was from that whole Kane and Lynch fiasco.

8.5 is a great score...whats the issue?

I had seen the review...and I now see that it's been pulled.  WTF?  

They've pulled reviews in the past, except it doesn't get attention because it's either done quickly or when the site isn't getting much traffic.  Besides, unless you pulled that page or took a photo of it, we have no way of knowing what score they gave it before it was pulled, or even if it was pulled.  GameSpot has nothing to gain for pulling the review and giving it a higher score.  What could possibly be the dirty motive?  This is the last game that needs advertising and it's already selling gangbusters.  I even question how relevant reviews from any site will be.
 
Besides, the whole "Kane and Lynch" situation that got Jeff fired was nothing but a suit who decided to be an asshole about something and take Jeff out.  Guess what, once it was done, there was no turning back.  So it was branded as a mistake and when people like Ryan left, the suit and frankly all of corporate (guilty or not) learned their lesson.   Sorry to go off track about that fiasco though.
 
Color me extra skeptical about this whole deal.  Often GS has given different review scores and I wouldn't be surprised if it was pulled due to lass minute fixes.  I would be surprised if it got a different score than what you mentioned, if what you mentioned was true.

THey are idiots if they pulled it because it was an 8.5. THis gives clearance on how the review system is shitty now.

They certainly don't want another kane & lynch thing happening, that would be pretty shitty

It is just hte mindset of people and reviewers to go from a 5-10 scale......just spewers the reaction from an 8.5
