    Hey Duders!

I recently bought a copy of Monster Hunter Tri for dirt cheap due to the amount of great coverage of Ultimate by Patrick. All I have is a single Wiimote and Nunchuk for my Wii and so I was wondering which controller I should purchase in order to play MH properly.

Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Duders!

Generally, for Wii games that aren't motion based, your best bet is either the GameCube controller if it is compatible, or the Classic Controller Pro.

@snail: My Wii isn't compatible with any Gamecube stuff unfortunately but I'll definitely check out the Pro Controller. Thanks for your input, duder!

Aren't the servers for Monster Hunter Tri being shut down soon?

@bisonhero: They are but I got it for such a low price it really doesn't matter. The single player will do me just fine until I get Wii U and hopefully Ultimate.

There's still probably a 100 hours of single player. To agree with Snail, CC Pro is the one you want for Tri.

CCP and yeah, you can do a fair bit of the multiplayer missions solo too once you get good enough, before you will really hit any sort of grinding wall where the balance is completely multiplayer focused

@obsideondarman: The best choice would definitely by the Classic Controller Plus. I think that's what it's called? The one that looks like a dualshock. Classic Controller is next best, but the Pro is better.
