Morrid is an elderly man of unknown age, who lives in a small hut at the base of Observatory Mountain. It is his job to oversee the Cargo Ship which transports goods, and later the Black Mage Army, between Dali and Alexandria.
The player is able to undertake a sidequest wherein they must search for three types of rare coffee beans and return them to Morrid. As a reward he sends a model of the Prima Vista, Tantalus' Airship, to their hideout in Lindblum. This model has no practical use, and cannot be picked up and placed in the player's inventory. However it does contribute to their Treasure Rank.
Upon returning from the world of Terra, if the player talks to Dutiful Daughter Slai at the bar in Dali it is revealed that Morrid died in the recent earthquake.
