Saw something on facebook that said if someone quits out on you in a fight, they are forced to watch their head explode as the game does an automatic fatality called a "quitality". Is what I saw BS, or had anyone else heard this too?

It's official, there's a weekly official MKX live-stream on Twitch where it was 1st debuted, though you've got one detail wrong.

Rage quitting involves players leaving the match, so they won't see the Quitalitity, the person left who wins will, the idea being that the victors are shown a cool thing, as in the exploding head. It rewards them and gets them back to picking a fresh online match ASAP.

You should watch the stream, it's on tomorrow in fact. http://www.twitch.tv/netherrealm

That's awesome, but they should have made te quitting player have to watch as well. They should also add a whining/crying voice over.

People usually rage quit by shutting off the console or pulling their internet connection, so that's not really possible.

Unless you want them to hire people to go to people's houses and hold a gun to their head to stop them from quitting early.

@zeik: i would imagine most of rage quits being out of the match only because I don't see someone being mad enough to shut off their console midgame in their first online quit of the play session lol if theyre a ragequitter theyre probably quitting a few matches before the rageconsoleshuttoff... This is a silly point. Either way, crying would be funny to go along with the head blowin up

That's a pretty cool idea. Does it also punish the quitting player? What about if they just lost connection?

No it doesn't punish the player. The reason being as you said connection issues and what not could be the reason for someone leaving the fight so instead of punish the quiter the reward the other player with a Quitality and a flawless victory.

It'd be really cool if they could figure out a way to have a video of Ed Boon pop up shaking his head at you in disgust for 5 minutes every time you do that.
