And if not that then another fighting game
Mortal Kombat
The Mortal Kombat series, and its many games, continues to deliver gruesome fighting action to its fans.
Nathan Drake should be in the next Mortal Kombat
@xobballox: why he is amazing at hand to hand, and a very season fighter, seems to fit the profile to me

Nathen Drake does not fit the tone of Mortal Kombat nor does he violently murder people.
I don't think Naughty Dog would be okay with Nathan Drake being torn in half vertically. Also, we already have Stryker.

Who sounds a lot like Nolan North. But actually isn't.

Lets be fair here, he murder's people pretty fucking violently. Several bullets to the torso and head is not exactly a kind way to die.

Yeah, it just doesn't make sense. It would be worse than Yoda and Vader in Soul Calibur (which I even wasn't upset with when most people were, that's how much this doesn't fit).
@ImmortalSaiyan: He doesnt have to have to be, Johnny Cage and Liu Kang dont fit the dark tone but will still finish off people, he still should be in some fighting game... Kratos=MK9, Starkiller/Vader/Yoda=Soul Cailbur IV, Cole Macgrath=Street FighterxTekken, and now Ezio is going to be in the new Soul Cailbur

None of his enemies explode into 30 femurs though.

If Uncharted had realistically simulated the effects of bullets and explosions on the human body it would be 10x as disturbing as Mortal Kombat.
Actually, lets stop this, I don't enjoy thinking about this.

And if my brother had a vagina he'd be my sister. Don't put coulda, and woulda into this madness.

...
Is your brother hot? I mean, I don't usually swing that way but I'm open to new ideas.
Nathan Drake's fatality would involve narrowly catching the very last inch of a ridiculously high cliff, swinging around while yelling "OH CRAP". that last bit of cliff breaks, and the other fighter catches him at the last second, saving his life. then drake hurls his opponent off the edge while saying "asshole".
his other fatality calls in a helicopter attack.
his secret fatality drops a train on them.
i don't know

@SethPhotopoulos: this is a completely what if scenario and hes right
He's right in the sense that if they completely changed the tone of the games and pushed for an M rating as hard as they can then sure. Thing is the Uncharted series and Nathan Drake weren't created with the thought of brutal fatalities like God Of War kind of was. The tone would be way off if Nathan Drake was in it. Nathan Drake definitely kills dudes but so does Ratchet and Spyro the Dragon. Killing dudes isn't what sets the tone for a Mortal Kombat game.
@EuanDewar: No, he isn't.

Cole Macgrath=Street FighterxTekken,
I thought this was a joke at first. I'm honestly more put off that he looks like he would be really boring to play as more than anything. Which is were I would take more of an issue with Drake being in MK, I can't imagine how he would translate into a fighting game of any kind.

I'm not offended so much by the idea of Nathan Drake in Mortal Kombat as I am by the idea that Street Fighter is a "step down" from Mortal Kombat.
I'd say on equal terms offerring different things to different people.
@EuanDewar: But they don't. By that logic, an optic blast from Cyclops should regularly vaporize 90% of his opponents. And beyond the rare realistic consequences of some of the set piece explosions, Drake STILL wouldn't cause the gruesome deaths that the average Fatality in Mortal Kombat entails...
I always found the fact that Drake seems like such a cool and likeable person and the goes off and murders hundreds of people to be a little jarring. I get that it's a light hearted game, but I just can't help thinking about it. I think that they should make all of Drake's methods non lethal except in the most desperate of situations, that would make actually killing someone more emotionally impact-full and they could really show it messing with him; creating a much more rich and engrossing storyline while at the same time adding depth to Drake's character.
But no, instead we get witty quips between characters like a normal, affable, non-murderous person would do interspersed with blowing people away like its nothing.
