    1:55:26 timemark is where he addresses a lot of what the upcoming patch will deal with, but if you watch the whole thing, there's more to it than just that summary.

    EDIT:   Here are the notes from the official site:

    Ver. 0.127S-208-FD2E2ECD (Xbox 360) / Ver 0.127S-208-FD2E2ECD (PS3) *released 4/19/2011

    • Reduced the life gained on Shang Tsung’s throws.
    • Raised the damage scaling on Shang Tsung’s ground fireballs.
    • Adjusted Kratos’ damage scaling.
    • Temporarily adjusted how long Quan Chi is held for after hitting someone with his trance move and also adjusted the reaction recovery time. This was to prevent an easy infinite loop.
    • Temporarily removed some of Sindel’s 2in1 cancels to prevent some easy infinite loops.
    • Temporarily increased the time before Cyrax can throw another net after connecting with one to prevent an infinite loop.
    • Increased the damage scaling after several popup reactions.

    Ver. 0.127S-208-FD70F4B3 (Xbox 360) / Ver. 0.127S-208- A0FAD3CF (PS3) *released 5/20/2011

    • Reduced some of Kung Lao’s combo and overall damage.
    • Reduced the damage on some special moves.
    • Increased the damage scaling after Kitana’s Enhanced ground fan toss.
    • Adjusted some juggle’s damage scaling.
    • Reduced the damage on some basic combos that were doing too much damage without using any meter.
    • Increased Sheeva’s damage output for several of her moves and attacks.
    • Temporarily Changed around some of Sonya’s fighting style properties to reduce her ability to lock someone down in block stun.
    • Changed Kano’s Towards Front Kick to a low block.
    • Reduced the recovery on Kano’s Upball to be closer to Johnny Cage’s Flip Kick recovery.
    • Increased the damage of some of Baraka’s special moves and attacks.
    • It is easier to juggle combo after hitting someone with Baraka’s chopchop on the ground.
    • Increased the damage scaling on a frozen opponent.
    • Baraka’s Away Front Kick, Front Punch combo is now a true popup.

    Cool. Seems like they're fixing a bunch of stuff that you have to be way better than anyone I know to exploit in the first place. In meaningful news though, sounds like Scarlet will be out within a few weeks (hopefully on Tuesday)

    Man, I hate shit like this. Not only am I not a fan of nerf-heavy balancing, but the game is only a month old.

    I could be wrong this time and the game could turn out for the better, since actual players supposedly have some contact with NRS.

    Edit: glitch removal is all good though.

    You haven't been caught in Cyrax's bomb trap then. 

    Generally, I agree that nerfing isn't always the best answer. But in this case, there were a number of exploits that needed to be squashed.

    @SoldierG654342: I have never played a Cyrax, so yeah I haven't. But I've seen it action several times. Maybe a damage reduction, who knows. I don't claim to know everything about balance. Just hate early changes.

    EDIT: Or maybe make it not guaranteed reset/damage. Make it more of a mixup or something. Cyrax kinda works like Zangief, making bombtraps more like Gief's oki game after EX green hand would be interesting.

    I'm most upset about the Kitana nerf since I actually use her...apparently she's not gonna have multiple fan projectiles anymore or something to that effect... im not quite sure i understood what they were saying and whether or not if it would just apply for combos like Scorpions Spear?

    @ricetopher: Just look up the PDP Vegas Tourney that just happened and all you see is Kung Lao - Cyrax - Ermac - Lui Kang...I can see why the nerf happened and what's even funnier is Ed Boon was there (prolly getting a more in depth look at who was getting the nerf bat)...

    @Hzaife: I think the DLC and patch are going to be deployed together, in one download. As for the price, we don't know. Of course the patch will change things for everyone, but my guess is that they want everyone to download the new character data, that way everyone can play against her, but have a separate paid unlock to play as her. There have also been hints at free stuff, but we don't know what it is. Probably more costumes or something like that.

    Here's a more in depth look into the patch taken from kaballer on TRMK:


    Current Patch:
    1. Kung Lao damage nerf by around 20% on high combos.
    2. Reptile damage nerf by around 12% on high combos.
    3. Sub Zero slight damage nerf, but in the corner do: jp 224 freeze, step back, b12, 214 x ray to get 55% damage, same as his old corner combo :D
    no patching ex ground freeze because it's a reset that requires both parties to guess
    4. Kano has been buffed. Can still fuzzy guard Kano's combo. Kano ball damage toned down. Kano ball is seriously safe (only Raiden's superman, Lao's spin, Reptile's dash can punish it now) :D you can try a throw attempt on him if you're not one of those characters.
    5. Sheeva gets a damage buff on combos. work with her 50/50 mix-ups. low throw has armor, unlike regular throw, to stop people from crouching and mashing D1 D1 D1.. 
    6. Baraka's corner infinite taken away. Baraka gets a damage buff on combos. Baraka got increased combo potential (not positive what it is yet).
    7. Sonya block infinite is gone: cannot be done if you crouch block. But her ability to stun has been completely raped.
    8. Kabal block infinite is still there.
    9. Sindel infinite is still there.
    10. Noob's B1214 does less damage now, but no significant nerfs for him.
    11. No nerfs or buffs with Jade, Ermac.
    12. Scorpion damage nerf by around 2% on combos.
    13. Nightwolf damage nerf by around 2% on combos.

    Full Patch (Which will come out approximately in two weeks) 
    1. Kabal Block infinite removed. Dash recovery time changed.
    2. Sonya's ability to stun will be buffed, block infinite will still be gone, but turned into more of a trap situation
    3. Cyrax bomb trap wont have same advantage , (50/50 not a 100%) 10 frames not 2 frames 1 is the break command mash 1 after getting hit by the net

    Crap, I keep forgetting him! They do need him in this game! Motaro too...but I honestly don't see that happening...maybe they can add him as another secret hidden fighter, i would be ok with that lol

    As a whole Mortal Kombat is one of the easiest fighting games out there. I'm surprised there haven't been more nerfs before now.  Get ready for a big nerf train before EVO.

    Seeing as I haven't been able to get into even one match yet, I couldn't say how necessary these nerfs are from my perspective.  It's cool that Skarlet and Kenshi are coming soon, though.

    I can't get a match without substantial lag on PS3.  I'm bad enough as it is without lag, but the current netcode just makes me a punching bag.  I basically have MK on the shelf until the patch hits.

    I'm kinda bummed...but we'll see where this goes... I'm also bummed that Kenshi will not be released with Skarlet... I wonder now that he's "totally different" did the take away his telekinesis and concentrate on his sword techniques...? Not sure how i feel about that...

    Ver. 0.127S-208-FD2E2ECD (Xbox 360) / Ver 0.127S-208-FD2E2ECD (PS3) *released 4/19/2011

    • Reduced the life gained on Shang Tsung’s throws.
    • Raised the damage scaling on Shang Tsung’s ground fireballs.
    • Adjusted Kratos’ damage scaling.
    • Temporarily adjusted how long Quan Chi is held for after hitting someone with his trance move and also adjusted the reaction recovery time. This was to prevent an easy infinite loop.
    • Temporarily removed some of Sindel’s 2in1 cancels to prevent some easy infinite loops.
    • Temporarily increased the time before Cyrax can throw another net after connecting with one to prevent an infinite loop.
    • Increased the damage scaling after several popup reactions.

    Ver. 0.127S-208-FD70F4B3 (Xbox 360) / Ver. 0.127S-208- A0FAD3CF (PS3) *released 5/20/2011

    • Reduced some of Kung Lao’s combo and overall damage.
    • Reduced the damage on some special moves.
    • Increased the damage scaling after Kitana’s Enhanced ground fan toss.
    • Adjusted some juggle’s damage scaling.
    • Reduced the damage on some basic combos that were doing too much damage without using any meter.
    • Increased Sheeva’s damage output for several of her moves and attacks.
    • Temporarily Changed around some of Sonya’s fighting style properties to reduce her ability to lock someone down in block stun.
    • Changed Kano’s Towards Front Kick to a low block.
    • Reduced the recovery on Kano’s Upball to be closer to Johnny Cage’s Flip Kick recovery.
    • Increased the damage of some of Baraka’s special moves and attacks.
    • It is easier to juggle combo after hitting someone with Baraka’s chopchop on the ground.
    • Increased the damage scaling on a frozen opponent.
    • Baraka’s Away Front Kick, Front Punch combo is now a true popup.

    I don't really play this online (though I've dumped a solid hundred hours into singleplayer ladder, tower, and story mode stuff without boredom), but I've been obsessed with the competitive MK circuit lately. Interested how these changes influence the ways professional players approach their pet characters.

    Just so everyone knows, those are hot fixes that are already in effect through the in-game updater, not parts of the patch. I expect it to be included in the patch, but that much is already live.

    you just gotta block dude. breaker out. reset the spacing. liu kang has to hit you for his juggles to work. he can mix you up, but if you pressure him he doesn't have wakeup options. he needs his corner juggles. thats all hes got.

    Okay, these notes are "firm" and scheduled to hit this Tuesday. Mind you that this is not the full list or may not be the full list and to keep an eye on themortalkombat.com for them to release the full list officially in due time. Tom Brady has given us a list that he is aware of that may or may not contain every "note" and here it is:
     
    Patch:

    1. KL spin will ha23wve 6 more recovery frames on block
    2. KL hat loop removed
    3. kabal block infinite removed
    4. sonya block infinite removed
    5. various bugs fixed
    6. wake up moves punishing certain characters after a ground breaker removed
    7. stryker xray punsihed on hit fixed
    8. advantage on cyrax command throw lessoned
    9. cyrax command throw break changed from 2 frame window to 10 frame window
    11. sindel able to scream after 21 now and able t juggle with b3~scream
    12. smoke bomb otg removed
    13. cyber sub bomb has a smaller buffer window
    14. jax ex dash punch goes farther and has armor.
    15. jax has a gp fake
    16. quan chi sky drop adv lessoned
    17. quan chi reset after trance removed
    18. quan chi skeletal boost after trance trade removed
    19. quan chi can not move after trance hits
    20. raiden no longer has adv after b312 and 334 are blocked. he is now at -1


    Tweaks coming a few hours after the patch:

    1. sonya cannot link military stance after d4
    2. sonya dive kick inf removed
    3. kabal cannot link dash after d4
    4. KL infinite removed
    5. kano up ball is now more disadv on block
    6. more various bugs fixed
