So I was playing online for a couple hours for the first time and winning about 1 in 3 matches as Ermac. Usually everything was pretty close. There was one Scorpion player who juggled the shit out of me and I felt really humbled. Then I got a challenge from a dude with a pretty weak win/loss record (like 17/32) and thought "Ok great! Somebody on my level!"
I then experienced the hardest ass beating I have ever felt in a fighting game. The guy had this combo style that started with a teleport, LOOOOOOOOONG combo and finished with a superman. If that was blocked, he would teleport out, back in then try a grab. This pretty much went rapid fire for the match and I honestly had a hard time even figuring out which side he was going to be on. I didn't ever feel like I had a moment of breathing room. I couldn't get Ermac's teleport off, jumping or sliding back was met with an instant superman and blocking either got me a throw or a hard downward strike.
I managed one X-Ray and that was all she wrote.
So.... Whats the deal? How do I use more skill on that?

The "I just got ra1p3d by Raiden" Thread
There seems to be a lot of confusion about the inclusion of a "1" in place of an "i" which is not featured in the original English spelling of the word "Rape". I'll have Sony Online Entertainment's people look at this situation and release a patch 7 months later.
@Chabbs0 said:I thought he meant Ralped, but I like your theory better. Why are there numbers in the word raped? Also the number 1 wouldn't stand for anything anyway.Obviously he was Ratped, which I hear is the cool new word kids are throwing down for being raptured. How he's writing this, I don't know.
Only thing I can say is find someone who plays a good Raiden and just learn to punish the teleport. Maybe you can take something in from watching this video, it's a high level play but to get an idea of how the guy playing against the Raiden player. You want to keep him pressured, if you see him teleport you have to learn to react to it, usually a low kick helps because you can still hit him while he is materializing.
mmm only prob i have with Raiden is that superman move. Seems like they get a free escape if you block it because he bounces off of you out of uppercut range. Dunno if you can dash quick enough to hit him before he recovers...haven't played against too many Raidens.Yeah. It doesn't seem to have a huge downside for how easy and quick it is. The combination of that quick teleport, combo and superman seemed to utterly befuddle anything I could do. I tried to block and use skill but it seemed vastly harder than anything I'd seen before. I apologize to any victims of thunder god based sexual abuse.
