Actually, the NSDAP, which was the Nazi party, stood for National Socialist German Workers Party. Due to its heavy regulation of the market Fascism is fairly Socialist. The reason most people don't consider it Socialist is merely because Fascism has different intentions. Like Communism, Fascism is difficult to plot on a political spectrum because every implementation of it has been fairly different, from pure totalitarianism to militant socialism.
