Do the loading screens load longer unless you mash buttons?

That loading screen is nice and all but sometimes it goes on for what seems like, I don't know, 15 seconds (which is the real reason Brad gave it 3 stars), but since I've started mashing buttons during those screens they seem to go faster making them last maybe 5 seconds. Anyone else been having the same experience? It's like Mass Effect 2's loading screens, on PC, where it'd take longer to load because the loading screens wanted you to check them out unless you replace those loading screens with just the Mass Effect 2 logo, but not dealt with as drastically.

I can sort of understand that they might hold off dropping you into the game just in case you aren't ready or something.

@rjayb89: Actually the loading screens in ME2 took so long to load because of a bug. There was a simple, easy fix that reduced them to around 5 seconds.

@rjayb89: Seems that way to me, one of the developers I follow on twitter said mash A to make the load screens go faster #protip, but for all I know that was a joke. It might just be a placebo effect but it's working for me.

@DeeGee: Well, it didn't matter. I really didn't have to install those loading screens since, at most, that game took maybe 5 seconds max to load anything. Something about having to set the game to dual core processing through the task manager or something? Whatever. That doesn't matter. THESE LOADING SCREENS ARE WHAT MATTERS EVEN THOUGH IT'S THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER (unless you load the world map, which is pretty drab).

I tried it and it absolutely does. The "loading..." icon flashes as you mash and then it's over.

Holy shit... I didn't think this could be true, but it is. If you mash A, the level starts immediately when it's loaded, rather than waiting for the dancing animation to finish.

So dumb in fact that I refuse to believe a developer would do such a thing.
