A talking skull appearing in the Monkey Island franchise. He helps Guybrush Threepwood, but also wants to enslave all humanity.

Murray is a skull that Guybrush encounters in the game "The Curse of Monkey Island". Being a skull, he's very limited to what he can actually do, however he has remained in the memory of Monkey Island fans ever since he debuted.

This is due to him being a very unique and funny character as is the case of many of the Monkey Island characters. He seems to have this unbent determination in ruling the world and will do whatever it takes to do that. Problem is, he's just a skull. He is aware that he needs more than a skull to be able to rule the world which is why on numerous occasions he tries to get the help of Guybrush Threepwood. These interactions with Guybrush is what has made Murray infamous among the Monkey Island crowd.

He insists that the evil path is the path that Guybrush must take and with hes skull and Guybrush's legs, they will be able to rule the world.

At one point, Murray aids Guybrush during the process of finding a uncursed diamond to reverse the effect of elaine being turned into a golden statue.

He made a very brief appearence in the Escape from Monkey Island. This was probably due to the amount of people that enjoyed Murray in The Curse of Monkey Island.
