Like the Muton, the Elite variant is a strong front line alien soldier that carries a heavy plasma weapon. They usually travel in groups of three and often in the company of other high end units, such as Ethereals, The Elite is also capable of Suppression Fire in addition to the ability to throw grenades over a fairly long distance. Aside from enhanced armor, the Elite has many of the same physical traits as the standard Muton. They do, however, possess a much greater intellect and knowledge of alien weaponry and combat tactics.
