Up until NBA Live fell off the wagon, I was never really a fan of 2K basketball games. This was mostly because I wasn't willing to take the time to learn how to play a game with a distinct look, feel, and control that was so different from the Live franchise I had grown to love. When EA stopped putting out NBA Live games, I had no choice but to switch to the 2K series. Several years later, I can say that I probably wouldn't go back to a new NBA Live game now. Do you really need a review? It's the usual good game from 2K. There's little special about it.Except they fucked up the controls. No more shot stick. You have to use a bumper AND the stick to shoot because the shot stick is now used to do dribble moves.Why?I don't give a damn about the dribble moves. Make one use the bumper for those things? I am a sports fan. I picked up NBA2k13 because my brother and I enjoy playing against each other in a sport that we play in real life. Unlike real life however, in 2k I get to dunk on my brother's player and taunt him in real life. I like the fact that there is a lot to do in this game, from creating your own player, to playing a season with an NBA team, to playing online against other people. The controls feel nice and tight.
