Neo Geo Pocket Color

A color-enabled update of the monochrome Neo Geo Pocket, the Pocket Color was released in Japan, the US and Europe in 1999.  It had a rather short life at retail, disappearing from store shelves shortly after Aruze's buyout of SNK in 2000.

The Neo Geo Pocket Color was fully backwards compatible with Neo Geo Pocket games.  It also featured the ability to connect to the Sega Dreamcast via link cable, though only a handful of titles made use of this.
