The first 2D Mario platformer for a home console in over 15 years. Though it has single-player, it focuses heavily on cooperative multiplayer, allowing up to 4 players to play simultaneously. This game also premiered Nintendo's Super Guide hint system.

US Release Date: Nov. 15, 2009

OK....looks fine but what is the point of updating it for the Wii? I liked it already on the DS but not enough to buy it again with some improvements.

Never owned a Nintendo DS, never will.  I'm mostly glad they're finally going to release some handhelds on Wii.  It's cheap and easy for them and people who want it on handheld have it on there, people that don't buy them will buy this maybe.

Yeah, I know the quality will suck with a big tv vs little screen (or make the screen small like they did with that Final Fantasy CC Echos game), but I think there's a market for it.

I'd buy this and maybe the other Trauma Center DS games.  I'm sure there's a few others I'd buy (they'd better be $30 or less though)

New Super Mario Bros. on the DS was excellent I thought. Not a classic like SMB3 or 64 but definitely a damn good game.

It really baffles me that it took this long for a true Mario platformer to go CoOp. Its REALLY good news!

I have to say, this actually looks pretty sweet.  And as someone who played the DS NSMB, it doesn't look like an "update" or "remake" at all.  Looks more like a totally new game, just matching the "New Super Mario Bros." style.
