Newcastle United is a soccer club that was founded in 1892 in Newcastle, England.
Stadium
Their home stadium is Saint James Park, which has seen numerous reconstructions and expansions every since the start of the soccer club making it the oldest stadium in the North-Eastern part of England. It's current capacity is 52,387 seats, making it the third largest club stadium in the league and the largest in it's area.
Awards
Over their history, they have placed first for four seasons, have won six FA Cups, and various International soccer trophies.
As for individual awards, team members Andy Cole (1994) and Alan Shearer (1997) have won the Premier League Golden Boot (Top goalscorer in the league). Many other players and managers have gone into the hall of fame for their respective countries, whether it's England, Wales or Scotland. Newcastle has also fielded 11 of the 100 football league legends, a list of the finest players ever conducted in 1998 (The 100th year of the Premier League).
Colors
Newcastle's home colors are a black and white striped top with black shorts and socks. Currently their away colors are blue with white trim although their away colors change are prone to change.
Nicknames
Newcastle has two nicknames: The Magpies( Due to their black and white home colors) and The Toon (The pronunciation of town). The later, giving name to their supporters The Toon Army.
