It's the '5' that gives it away, really. Heck, I can't even read Japanese. Maybe this says that he has five children.
An error? Perhaps. Factually inaccurate? Heck, maybe. But when combined with the previous pachinko-related reports that also said something about a fifth game in the Persona series, this is all starting to sound more and more likely. Plus, Persona 4 has been out for awhile. It's just about time for another game in the series to be announced, regardless.
I'm putting my money on an official announcement at or around this year's Tokyo Game Show, which takes place in late September. Though I'd rather put my money into a Chie-focused martial arts action spin-off, now that I think about it.

I am into this. I am SO into this. Not because I want to play it, but in hopes we get another ER out of it. Hell, maybe I'll play it.
It seems extremely likely that Persona 5 would see an X360 release, considering it seems to be the destination console for JRPGs, even moreso than the PS3. That's really bizzare when you think about it.
Hopefully it's on all next-gen systems (or at least PS3 and 360 if they're going HD).
Dude - ive only just picked up lost odyssey- still have P4 and vakyria chronicles to finish, throw in the two coming final fantasy games

I just hope they take their time with it to evolve Persona and make it really different from the previous generation. Sorta like how Persona 3+4 are so different from Revelations: Persona and Persona 2.
i want a PC version of it. So apparently this guy wasn't a producer on P4 either, so it would not only be an error in the number if this wasn't true, but they would also have gotten his name and picture wrong.

Well it is obviously going to come eventually, being the most successful games in the SMT franchise.

Here's to hoping that it becomes official soon. I can't see why they wouldn't make it, the series is actually pretty popular in the states. I pretty sure the endurance run has helped sales a bit. I was a fan of the series since the day Persona 3 was released. I got the very first copy of the game from the gamestop I went to so that was pretty cool watching them open the shipping box to see all the new games that were coming out that week.
I hope they update the graphics a bit since it will most likely be on the current gen systems.
