Call of Duty: World at War Beta Goes Wide

World War II for Everyone!

The official Call of Duty site has announced that the Xbox 360 version of the Call of Duty: World at War is now publicly available. If you were one of the seven people who couldn't find a download code before now, you can now just go ahead and download it, no secret codes required.

Consider this a sort of final week push for the demo/beta/whatever, as the final retail release of Call of Duty: World at War goes down next week.

To be fair everyone can get in the pc Beta ;) All you have to do is have/make an account at callofduty.com and download the client.

Im downloading the Beta just now, a weeks worth of MP action for free is fine by me.

personally, i feel the multiplayer is too easy. i just beasted everyone with a BAR. the single fire assault rifle is suited for noobs; the g3 even with stopping power is much harder to get kills with. and all the other perks apart from perk 2 seem unnescary. the stun grenade is pretty useless, as you can still fucking see. the maps seems like they are just modded from a plain eniviroment. it doesn't feel as real as CoD4. my personal take: stick with CoD4 and go buy one of the thousand other games out there. gears 2 will probably attract the CoD4 crowd (personally dislike the series), and resistance for the ps3 people. also a mp game is endwar, and the best single-player experience is probably mirror's edge, which had a very awesome demo.

I played the demo about 3 weeks ago and I really didn't like it. definitely a rental for me...

Played it. Went 25 and 5 my first game and felt like I barely did anything. Still feels sluggish like COD3 did, not impressed.

Don't like it myself. Dogs are a lame replacement for COD4 chopper (and that sucks too), spawnpoints suck, and overall cartoony look of the game is not quite what I expected.
