Giant Bomb Video Game News

I was going to write something about how October's E For All Expo has apparently been unable to find many decent exhibitors, but had a bit of a change of heart on the issue. While I think October is way, way, way too late in the year to run any kind of meaningful public event, I do think there needs to be more stuff like this. It'd be great if we got into a groove where there was always some neat upcoming event in some part of the country where people could go to get their hands on unreleased games.

Maybe that something will go on to be PAX, which seems to be expanding. Or maybe E for All will rebound and kick out all the non-essential junk that no one should ever have to pay to see. Seriously, could you imagine paying for a ticket to E For All, getting in there, and seeing a bunch of EA and Microsoft games that are probably already out? And then, when you get tired of seeing games you've already played, you start walking around and run smack-dab into the FATAL1TY booth, where they don't give away T-shirts because they don't wear them.

At least B-Mitch has the decency to rock an American flag tie when he's being a professional player.

There I go, being all negative. Speaking of upcoming expo-type stuff, don't forget that the Penny Arcade Expo is this weekend, and we've got our own panel going down on Saturday at 5:30 in the Walrus Theatre. We'll also be around, checking out games and some of the other panels, so be sure to say hello if you see us!
