Like this, but times two!
Microsoft's official marketing blog has confirmed this morning that the patch to enable Fable II's online co-op features has been certified as something that (probably) won't make your Xbox 360 explode or speak in tongues. This means that by the time you're able to properly buy Fable II tomorrow (or on the 24th if you're in Europe), the online co-op should be ready to go.

However, a time for the patch wasn't announced, so I guess it's possible that if you ran right out first thing in the morning and got the game, it might not be up yet.

Still totally against day one patches over here, but considering you'd need online access both to use and to download the patch, this case doesn't seem like a huge deal.

Good to hear, though I'm still not really sold on the co-op itself.

Doesn't every game have an update the day it comes out? Yes. Stop making it seem like such a big deal people.

They should have never announced that it wouldn't have co-op out the gate until they definitively knew that it wouldn't.

@Tersier - Its this the ppl bitched about otherwise it wouldn't be a big deal. I dont really understand why it was a big deal to start whit since if your buying Fable II for the Co-Op i dont get why your buying the game at all since its a single player RPG to start whit.

Which is exactly why I think it's unfair that the game is already being reviewed with scores reflecting the game's limited co-op, even though none of us will have to deal with it.  Even still it's doing quite well, but I have to wonder if the scores would be even better if the reviews weren't based on a version of the game that we'll never play.

I just don't care about co-op.  Too much of a liability to have my friends in my game, is it bad I can't trust them to not kill my children and/or rape my wife?

I'm going to the midnight release so I'll be well into Fable 2 before I ever download the patch tomorrow. Which is good because I wasn't even planning on playing co-op until I had at least made it through most of the game.

Cool, getting it tomorrow.

I can't wait for the game. I could really care less about co-op though. Fable is suppose to be single player. You're friends would just fuck up you're stuff. (Well, my friends.)

Can't wait till I have this game in my 360. I'm really glad they got the patch finished before most people got ahold of the game. I was really disappointed with the announcement that it wouldn't make it into the game until later.

So, the rest of us (the rest of the world) should have the patch as well when it is released in our countries. Good Good!

I can't wait to fart on my friends husbands via co op

Way too many other games that I'm interested in right now so I'll pass on Fable 2 for now.

I will play through the whole campaign solo, with locked doors, draped windows and loads of drinks first. THEN I might jump into co-op. But not before experiencing the storyline on my own. So this dosent really do anything for me either way.
Even if this game completely lacked Co op I would probably consider it my most anticipated game of the year.

"Still totally against day one patches over here..." - What is wrong with day one patches? If it makes the game better then they're ok with me.

Thank god, Ecspecially since they made such a big thing of it

I know I am in the minority here, but I didn't really care for the game. I didn't like the pacing and the cheekiness. Oh well, I know how many of you are looking forward to it. Enjoy.

Im picking up the game at midnight so i'll be a ways into the single player before I try the multiplayer but im glad to see that they are working hard to get it out as soon as possible. I can only hope that it will not be like the offline co-op where the second player plays a basic thug. Whats the point in having co-op if you can't even play as your own guy
