Like this, but times two!
Microsoft's
official marketing blog has confirmed this morning that the patch to enable Fable II's online co-op features has been certified as something that (probably) won't make your Xbox 360 explode or speak in tongues. This means that by the time you're able to properly buy Fable II tomorrow (or on the 24th if you're in Europe), the online co-op should be ready to go.
However, a time for the patch wasn't announced, so I guess it's possible that if you ran right out first thing in the morning and got the game, it might not be up yet.
Still totally against day one patches over here, but considering you'd need online access both to use and to download the patch, this case doesn't seem like a huge deal.

@Tersier - Its this the ppl bitched about otherwise it wouldn't be a big deal. I dont really understand why it was a big deal to start whit since if your buying Fable II for the Co-Op i dont get why your buying the game at all since its a single player RPG to start whit.

Which is exactly why I think it's unfair that the game is already being reviewed with scores reflecting the game's limited co-op, even though none of us will have to deal with it. Even still it's doing quite well, but I have to wonder if the scores would be even better if the reviews weren't based on a version of the game that we'll never play.

Even if this game completely lacked Co op I would probably consider it my most anticipated game of the year.
