There's nothing more important to success in a real-time strategy game than understanding exactly how the tech trees are built, so you can figure out when and how to make which unit. Since you can't get started learning too early, Blizzard has provided the current tech trees for all three factions in StarCraft II

Brad hits 100 posts, do you sleep?

However that means nothing to me without any idea of what each does.

Just like with WarCraft III, these will probably change slightly before the final release.

I never got far in the original because I felt like modern warfare should be a bit more structured without my needing to micromanage everything.  But I really admired their design sense, and I had a special affinity for the Protoss, as long as I didn't think too much how Eldar-y they were.

I also like that the humans are, in some ways, not your stereotypical humans, with their mobile bases.  The Protoss are still sorta the guys I think are the coolest, just from an aesthetic sense.  Looking forward to detailed info pages on all of the units!

Where are the rest of the units?  Like Firebat, Goliath, Reaver, Dark Archon, etc.?  Do they not make the cut anymore?

I think in the years since starcraft I have become considerably less hard-core in the way I game, I dont know if I'm up to the challenges that star craft 2 will present..

never played starcraft before, but those look pretty short for a PC RTS...

i like rts games, looking forward to SC2's custom maps made by community
but real games are fun too, but i play them like an old granny, i wish they wouldn't have confusing units

what i really wish for is  that they configure the buttons to map the keyboard from Q to T, A to G, Z to B
