Recorded in Jeff Green's old office!
Recorded in Jeff Green's old office!
We ran into 1UP's Garnett Lee and David Ellis at Capcom's Resident Evil 5 and Bionic Commando event earlier this week and got an invite to appear on their two-part year-end podcast extravaganza The first installment is now live for your listening pleasure.

Guesting on podcasts is always a little weird. When a group of people get together on a regular basis for a good length of time, they get into a rhythm. It's hard not to feel like you're messing up that rhythm just by being there. So I did what came naturally--I spilled a drink all over myself and ran my mouth like there was no tomorrow. Brad, Ryan, and Vinny were all there, too, along with other intruders like Patrick Klepek from MTV Multiplayer, Jose Sanchez from Electric Playground, and Christian Nutt of Gamasutra fame. With that many people swapping in and out, it's bound to sound a little hectic in spots, but it was fun to chop it up with those guys, for sure.

Also, the Ziff dudes have a cloth map in their bathroom.

We'll be on next week, as well, so be sure to check it out.

Wow, the two best gaming podcast collide, I can't wait to listen to it. I like 1up.com a lot, but ever since Giantbomb.com, I get all my gaming news from here. Tell Shane what gamers want to here Jeff. :)

Please. Never visit IGN. I'm sure those guys are great, but they can't podcast worth a damn. They spend more time laughing at their inside jokes and obvious humor than talking about gaming. Or anything with a shadow of wit. Let them be..

I've listened to part 1 a few hours ago and I completely agree with you guys about the VGA's and video game award shows in general. As was mentioned on the podcast Spike's VGA's, although entertaining  this year, the award show was still geared towards the MTV click and not entirely towards the video game industry as a whole. To truly serve the industry justice we need a real award show hosted by the industry leaders instead of a television network looking to score some ratings.

It would be nice to see the talent of an industry being celebrating instead of the celebrities that look pretty on camera.

Pandemic Shutdown Leads to Office Space Tribute
If there was a TV channel called "men beating office equipment," I'd DVR every minute.
EA Announces The Next Mercenaries Game
"Mercs Inc." to continue Pandemic's legacy of explosions and open-world-type stuff.
Hands-On: Ridin' Zelda's Spirit Tracks
A few minutes with Nintendo's next DS Zelda installment.
Most Popular Achievements (11/14 - 11/20)
As the year winds down, it's clear that one game will stand alone... well, for the next few weeks, anyway.
Five Years In The World Of Warcraft
A bit of reminiscence about Blizzard's little juggernaut from a few of the developers who have been there.
Play The Zelda Trivia Challenge, Part Two
Five more questions to tease your brain and maybe net you some cool stuff.
