OK, stop smiling. Seriously, I just feel like you're mocking me now.
The rough online launches continue for Sony tonight as the LittleBigPlanet servers have been turned on and, probably due to being slammed by users, seem to barely work.

So far, it's been a chore getting lists of levels to load at all, and now that I've managed to get the "Cool Levels" option to start returning results, none of the user levels I'm attempting to play are actually loading.

On top of that, the menus feel very laggy, seizing up from time to time like they're waiting for some nugget of online information and having a very hard time squeezing it out of the server. Totally bummed out over here. Really wanted to see what levels people have been cooking up.

Anyone out there having a smooth experience tonight?

I played it in the morning and it was a breeze and pretty fun, as the day progressed it ogt unbelievably laggy, to the point which I almost though my ps3 was broken. If you disconnect fromt he internet you can play the single-player though, which is pretty damn funny. The sad thing is that event he single-player gets laggy as LBP uses a lot the internet even in single-player (for allowing people to join in at anytime, it tells you hwo many people ar eplaying a level, and keeps you pretty updated on ALL the things your friends are doing, if they are playing, if they broke a record, if they got a trophy, I have reviewed the game already if you wan to read it.)

Definitely having problems here, too. It seemed to work pretty well earlier in the day, then later in the night the servers must have gotten slammed and bogged down into lag hell.

I haven't had any problems playing other people's levels at all today, but all of a sudden I can't load them.

I played a couple of levels at around 7pm Pacific time.  Choosing to play a level by myself seemed much easier than playing it online when others could join.  By the way-- how creepy is it when someone you play with chooses to follow you back to your pod, and then just stares at you (maybe because of lag)?  Answer: very creepy.
I'm a little troubled by what seemed to be some lag while loading one of my moon levels-- the server shouldn't even see those levels until i publish them, right?

Shit, I'm not gonna have time to play this until Thanksgiving, so hopefully I'll avoid this mess. Not like I don't have enough games to keep me occupied until then...

I had no problems this afternoon when I picked my copy up, but just the last hour or two I couldn't connect at all. I doubt they can truthfully claim that they didn't expect such a large user base what with how much the game has been hyped and everything. Hopefully it'll be up and running soon.
