There are plenty of reasons to feel a little depressed during these cold, dark winter months, though life's myriad of tiny disappointments wouldn't be quite so soul-crushingly terrible if there weren't an 8-bit dog constantly mocking your every shortcoming.

Wow, uh, the dog is kind of annoying and all but I don't think he deserved that. I guess if he was basically stalking me though it might push me over the edge.

that dog was a little rough on children. maybe thats why kids from the 80's are so weird. you'd never see a mocking dog on today's Nintendo, no sir. then again, you'd never see blastin innocent lookin ducks outta the air either. they'd have to be angry-lookin aliens. no love for aliens that are born angry-lookin.
