Mega Man: The Shoes

I'm really not sure what to make of all the shoes with loose video game themes that have been coming out lately, usually in super-limited fashion. Does have a color-scheme inspired by the NES really count? OK, how about a color scheme inspired by Mega Man?

That's what Puma's pushing today with the Lo Mega!, a pair of shiny blue kicks that I'm very close to buying because I'm easily swayed. Saw these over on GoNintendo today:


You can cruise over to the Puma site if you're the type of individual that can rock shiny shoes without looking like a total ass. Or, if you're like me, and you sort of revel in the idea of looking like a total ass.

They're waaaaaay too shiny. I hate shiny clothes & footwear. It makes you look like an attention whore. And while I am an attention whore, I prefer to do it more subtly so people don't actually know I'm an attention whore.

if only they weren't so shiny... and i'd prefer it if they had an imprint of a mega man 2 era MM on the bottom. now that's stylin'.

You can only wear these if every time you jump you make the Mega Man pose. That's what sold me on the game when I was reading Nintendo magazines back in the day.

I'm easily swayed too, when Megaman's involved.  And it's not really videogame apparel, I wouldn't call it that.  However, I don't think anyone else would really think they were cool unless they also liked Megaman and understood the connection.  Can't count on those odds, though.
