Ok, so we all went to a Rock Band 2 event last night to check out the new Roy Orbison pack. Imagine our surprise when we also found an open bar. Well, when in Rome, right? Needless to say, good times were had by all. Despite their proliferation, Rock Band 2 and its rhythm based brethren still manage to entertain. But what if you were to flip the script on the whole genre and have the software try to match your diva-like vocal talents? What if you then made the worst commercial in the world for said software? I'm still on the fence about this being tongue in cheek, or some kind of parody. I just can't...just can't believe that this could be real. And who the hell wants a glow in the dark towel?
So I know what you're all thinking. What would the world of music be like today if David Lee Roth had been given a copy of Songsmith? Wonder no more!
