Editing a hamburger was never easier.
Editing a hamburger was never easier.
This is just a quick note from the engineering team to alert everyone to some new features we've added to the site in the last week. Here's the quick list:

  • A brand new WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor.
  • Wiki histories and rollback functionality for moderators.
  • Slightly modified the Private Message's UI to include more GMAIL like abilities.

We're most excited about our new editor which took a whooping 4 months of Ethan's development time. Considering we built the entire Giant Bomb website in a shorter period it only makes that fact even crazier for us to admit. Using this new editor should not only be a more consistent experience on our sites, but now allows you to edit Wiki articles in-page rather than in a popup. If you notice any bugs please report your browser (including version) and OS combo along with a screenshot. Editors can be extremely finicky with certain combos so the more information you can report to us the better.

so does that mean we can add in the PSN trophies like the 360 achievements on the side tab or will you just continue to crap on the PS3?

EDIT: I'm not talking about linking achievement or trophies to your account, I am talking about how every 360 game page has a tab for achievements which anybody can add as they are found, yet not even blank pages for the ps3 trophy system. Back to my original comment, so does that mean we can add those pages in now?

Cool.  The PMs actually lost a bit of functionality, though.  At least for being able to go to the end of a conversation.  With conversations that are more than two pages long, you have to keep paging through to get to where the conversation currently is.  Might be time to tweak it slightly and put the newest part of the conversation first, instead of last.  Then I might stop bugging people by starting new threads every time the conversation got too long :)

I like that the wiki editor allows you to choose for a link to pop-up to a different window/frame.  Nice alternative to the standard click-through.

First of all, are the words "trophies" or even "achievements" even mentioned in the post? No, it's about a new editor.
Second of all, Dave has explained this already like 200 times. Sony does not release individual profile info like Microsoft.
