If Xbox.com is to be believed--and it's usually pretty reliable about this sort of thing--we'll all be able to download a demo of Skate 2 as of January 8. That's because the site posted up information about one of their upcoming "Download & Win" promotions, and it was spotted by ShackNews... or at least someone spotted it and sent it to ShackNews. People are hawks with this official website stuff, man, it's crazy.
It's the typical sort of Download & Win, where you'll register by downloading a free gamerpicture and then the demo. Winners can win six custom Skate 2 decks and up to 4,000 Microsoft points. And if it's anything like the original Skate's demo, it should be pretty good, with enough features and modes to let you get good at the game and its new tricks before it comes out.
In other demo-related news, there's a multiplayer demo of Lord of the Rings: Conquest available right now.
Lastly, I just wanted to bring this intro video for Skate 2 to your attention, in case you missed it when we originally posted it. It's great.
