Giant Bomb Video Game News

Video Game News, Stories and Updates for the PS3, XBOX 360, PC, PSP, Wii, and DS

Added by Jeff Gerstmann on April 9, 2009

Videos like this are why I was so mistrustful when the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii were all coming out with wireless controllers as standard. Between the battery hassles, latency, and assy design, the remote controllers of yesteryear were a downright atrocity.

But hey, if Skip Rogers, the world video game champion, says they're OK, then they must be bad-ass, right?

"It worked great on Platoon."

Dude... nothing worked great on Platoon. Nothing.

Giant Bomb Congrats.  I think you finally made it. Spam with boobs. This is no longer a small niche website. Cheers to you.

It's good to know SororityGirlFun is a nintendo fan.

And jeff? How can you doubt Skip Rogers? He's world videogame champion. Just let that sink in a sec.

Yeah actually in all seriousness...it's pretty impressive how they made it a full year before suffering from persistant spammers....well actually it wasnt a full year technically...bummer.

Platoon wasnt that bad. Played it on the Amstrad CPC and it was much more playable than the one in the video. Also the music was rather damn good i have to say.

Aw, I missed the boob spam? And that controller looked absolutely abysmal, who's genius idea was it to put two buttons on either side of a joystck in the center? On that note, what's a Skip Rogers? And how can he be a WOOOooooOORLD video game champion? Can I apply for this prestigious title?

Whoever made that video really really sucks at platoon, or was sucking at it on purpose. Had the reflexes of some sort of learning disabled.

Gee, the Vietnam war was indeed pretty though. Those Vietcong dudes really mastered The Touch of Death.

Awesome.  I wish youtube existed when I was a kid, so I could have seen how a game played before I bought it, instead of looking at a SINGLE MOCK-UP SCREEN in the Sears catalog and making a decision based on THAT!!

Maybe name-dropping Platoon was his hint to the viewer that the endorsement was a sham.
