SOCOM Pre-Order Beta is Go

What I am doing right now: Typing on a laptop.

What I wish I was doing right now: Sitting at home with no shoes on, playing the SOCOM: Confrontation pre-order beta.

Yes, that's right, people. If you pre-ordered a copy of SOCOM: Confrontation from GameStop and properly registered the pre-order code you received via e-mail on Sony's page for the beta, you should be receiving your download code sometime today via e-mail. If you subscribed to Sony's QORE video service, you'll get in next Friday, 9/12.

My code came in immediately before leaving for work this morning, so I left the 1508MB demo downloading back home. Now all that's left to do is sit here and stare at a clock. Crap, and I was going to try and go out and do something this weekend, too...

We could all get together in a server and play! (It's up to 32 players right? We should totally do it).

I've been downloading the beta for the past several hours, it's like 40% complete. (DSL internet)

Its funny I played it for a bit and thought the game played like the developers hadnt played any other military game for about two years... terrible controls,boring gameplay and horrendous graphics.

Here in the UK 6000 were given away on Eurogamer.net (First come, first serve), no need to pre order the game.

But atm there has been trouble with the servers (long load times, crashing etc), the socom team are looking to get the beta fixed in the next few days :)

Downloaded the BETA yesterday and it's awesome. The only complaint I have is the loading is pretty long, hopefully the load times are chopped a bit when the full game releases.

I signed up as soon as the codes came in and I still haven't gotten my code. It's a good thing the beta's a month long or I'd be getting pissed soon.
