Ubisoft is clearly getting plenty of mileage out of its ownership of the Tom Clancy name, with updates coming on two of the latest games in the future-military franchise. First up, there's a new DLC pack for EndWar available on Xbox Live Marketplace right now for 300 Microsoft points. The "Faction Elite Pack" will also show up on the PlayStation Network later today for $3.75 in actual money.
Doesn't sound like a ton of new content, but then, the price is certainly nice. Here's shots from that.
There's also a new trailer out for flight-combat sim HAWX. Excuse me, HAWXXXXXXX. I didn't notice the trailer doesn't show any gameplay whatsoever until I'd already dropped it into our compressor, so here's some context for you.
Jet airplanes! HAWX is zooming into stores in March.
The "Faction Elite Pack” DLC will include three new battalions (one per faction) and six new upgrades (two per faction). These new elite battalions include the legendary JSF 15th Special Operations, the Spetsnaz Alpha Brigade, and the Enforcer Corps Battlegroup. The "Faction Elite Pack” will also grant immediate access to six exclusive unit upgrades including Ceramic Armor for the Spetnaz Guard Brigade and Caseless Ammunition for The European Federation's Gunships to name a couple.

Just got that elite faction pack, love me some endwar, and im interested in HAWX, aint played a flight game in lonnnnng time
When Brad said it cost $3.75 in "actual money" he left how much it would cost in Monopoly Money open to speculation.

Those EndWar packs are rip-offs, their literally just unlock codes, the content is already on the disc. Also, it takes hours to get enough credits to be able to buy those upgrades. Things like this should be free in a mainly multiplayer game, buying the advantages is very shady territory.
Oh and what's with HAWX? Isn't the whole point of Tom Clancy games that their kinda realistic? Guess what, flying through an explosion, not such a good idea.

It would be incredible if all the Tom Clancy games could have crossgame multiplayer where it's a huge battlefield and everyone in the match is playing a different unit depending on which Tom Clancy game they are playing.
I have never played a Tom Clancy game that I liked. Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell - all sucked hard. Hopefully HAWX will do something different besides plodding narrative and poor gameplay.
I agree with Geno. Ubisoft needs to move on from the 'military hardware' novels of Tom Clancy. Have you ever tried reading those books? They're incredibly shitty and support use of military force to a disturbing extent.
NOT INTERESTED IN HAWX, I'm very tired of military based games...or "the future is still war torn."
