Two Crysis 2 Special Edition Packages Coming In 2011

Why not three? I need more options over here.

EA will be shipping two different limited release bundles for Crysis 2 in 2011. Both will offer multiplayer unlocks, but only one will include a tin can and a backpack.

The more startling of the two, if only because of its price, is the Crysis 2 Limited Edition. Hitting presumably on Crysis 2's release day in 2011, this bundle is a no-additional-cost package that comes with bonus online experience points, a special in-game hologram SCAR gun attachment, a digital camouflage skin for the SCAR, and a collectible in-game platinum dog tag.

The Nano Edition was leaked earlier this year. What you see isn't final.

In contrast, the other bundle, the Crysis 2 Nano Edition, is a $150 inclusive package that ships with a steel housing for the game, a mini statue of "Prophet" standing on top of a taxicab, an art book, and a backpack "modeled after the Nanosuit itself." Above is an early mock-up of the Nano bundle, leaked by retailers a while back.

In other Crysis 2 news, EA and developer Crytek are also throwing a closed beta specifically for the Xbox 360 version of the game "later this year." It's unknown if the beta is tied to a pre-order deal or not.
