NFL 2k2 was the last of the NFL 2K series to be released on the Sega Dreamcast. It was one of the highest rated football sims ever released.

NFL 2K2 was the last in the NFL 2k series to be released for the Dreamcast.  Following the demise of the Dreamcast, it was released on both the PlayStation 2 and Xbox consoles.

2K2 along with all other iterations in the series, featured 2 fictional commentators, Dan Stevens voiced by Terry McGovern and Peter O'Keefe voiced by  Jay Styne .
 
Wide Receiver Randy Moss was pictured on the cover, as it had been on both of the previous covers.
