@enpopica: For a new copy that you're acquiring without buying it in person in Japan like I did, I think $56 is about as low as you're going to get for that game through most "standard" channels like that. So at that point, I'd argue that its worth is dependent on how much you think you'd value the sort of experience it provides. It's a really charming game and the assets that Ghibli created go very far in making the experience worthwhile, but the fundamental gameplay systems are really, really simplistic at heart. The game is engaging, but it's usually because of the atmosphere and art instead of the actual gameplay. That's not to say it's badly developed, since that's hardly the case, but aside from how it ties in the book, I wouldn't call the actual act of playing the game particularly mind-blowing. The game still might be worth the price if you think the Ghibli involvement justifies it, but I personally wouldn't pay $56 for it, let alone $80, knowing how it plays.
If you can figure out how to set up a Japanese PO box address that's tied to an international mail forwarding service, there's a chance that you could somewhat reduce the amount you can pay for the game overseas if you get a used copy off of something like Amazon Japan, but shipping might push things back up anyway. It's hard to say for certain.
