This Nidoran is the male of this species, the female is Nidoran and they can be differentiated for their larger forehead horn than the female. They also have more spines and have a different color. 
 
They can be found in expansive hot savannas and plains. 
 
Male Nidoran's have ears that stiffen at any sign of danger. The barbs on their heads release a powerful poison.
