    Nihilistic Software is an independent video game developer located in Marin County, California. Commonly known as the developers of the cancelled Starcraft Ghost and Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified.

    Nihilistic Software was founded in March 1998 by former LucasArts developers Ray Gresko and Robert Huebner. Despite being active for 10 years, Nihilistic have released three games so far. Their ouevre includes the suspended Starcraft Ghost for Blizzard Entertainment. They just finished Resistance: Burning Skies for the PSVita. Previously they had developed Heroes on the Move for the PS3, and were also focusing on developing downloadable titles for the Playstation Network, such as their 2009 dual stick shooter Zombie Apocalypse, which was released on XBLA and PSN.

    The first game Nihilistic developed was Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption, which was released in June, 2000. They also developed Marvel Nemesis: The Rise of the Imperfects, and the downloadable game Zombie Apocalypse.

    On October 17th 2012, Nihilistic announced they were leaving the retail development business, and reorganizing into nStigate Games with a smaller staff and a focus on downloadable, online and mobile games.
