The remote controlled missle fired from the Nikita can be navigated in and around obstacles aswell as up sloped surfaces. It has a limited fuel reserve and will explode when it runs out.
On the launcher itself is a control panel to help guide the missile and a small LCD display that displays the image of the camera installed into the front of each missle.
In it's first appearnce in Metal Gear Solid, the missile can be controlled in Third or First Person (by holding down the triangle button), where as in future instalments the player is forced to control the missile in first-person.
