A Step in the Right Direction!

(Warning: This review will contain SPOILERS!!)
~This is my first review so please bear with me....

When I first Played N3 I was hoping for more of a Dynasty Warriors Experince mixed with Dark Fantasy. But what I got was a clunky mess that was so frustrating that I didn't have the attention span to want to continue playing the game, plus I didn't like any of the characters that were playable. when I heard that there was going to be a sequal, I felt blah about it until I first whitnessed the Main star of the game, Galen. I was blown away and It was then that I gained a desire to want to play this game. I admit here to all to see that I'M a Character gamer and I only gain an interest in something if I like the characters first. I'm happy to say that I was right in wanting to play this game. At first I expected it to play a lot like the first one, but it didn't from my point of play. In fact it made me feel impowered to know that I could wipe the floor with any enemy that stood in my way. The boss fights gave me that "oh shit!" moment, but at the same time they weren't so hard that I didn't figure out a pattern in defeating them. Overall I beat the game with Galen a few hours ago and I must say I enjoyed it. I had to take breaks in between missions cause there is a looooooootttttttt of button mashing and my thumbs got sore. But I never once got bored, I was frustrated at times with some of the enemies (like the flying ones), but I enjoyed for the most part. The only part of the game I didn't care for was the boss battle with the Behemoth. It would have been fine except for some reason that battle required that quick time button pressing move like in god of war and it was unexpected and it felt tacked on were as all the other boss battles, even the last boss didn't have this uhhh...thing..! Anywho that's my only sore spot about the game, that and the enemies kept hitting while I was still on the ground (like those stupid bird things).

How did it Look? - Very Good
Not the best Graphics I've seen on the 360 but also not the worse. Then again I don't care for how the cup looks as long as it holds my beverage.

How did it Feel? - Very Good
My controller is a piece of crap so I didn't get a knowledge for how responsive the controls are, but what of my controller that dose work were really responsive and everything is at a touch of a button.

How did it Sound - Fair
The sound effects were ok to a point. The slashing and killing parts were good but the rest sounded off. Their footsteps sounded the same wheither it was ground, stone, or wood. The voice-acting was cheesy, but one can expect that from Hack n Slash games. As for music, they tended to play the same score for a lot of maps for not much veriety.

    Fun Factor - Fine
For me this is were the game exceled the most. As I said before I really enjoyed it (minus a few rough spots) and I even got into the story element.

    Overall - Fine
I believe that this series is going into a right direction and hope to see a third game take this path, but better crafted so it can be more then just a simple Hack n Slash. It would have been nice if there was a bonus after completing it, like getting to play as the Lord of the Night or something but oh well. Here would be the part were I'd tell you to buy the game or don't buy the game, but I'm not going to do that. It's your decision cause it's your money, I'm just here to give my opinion!
