A Different Approach to What Ninja Gaiden 2 Should Be. 0

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is the recreation of Ninja Gaiden 2 but for the PS3 with some added content to go along with it. For those of you new to the franchise, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is a hack-n-slash action game with less focus on button mashing and more focus on movement and pulling off the right combo for the right situation. Story:  The game stars the legendary dragon clan ninja Ryu Hayabusa as he tries to stop the bad guys from resurrecting  the arch-fiend. For the most part the story is ver...

There Will Be Purple Essence 0

Last year Ninja Gaiden 2 was released to not so stellar reviews...at least not compared to its predecessor Ninja Gaiden. Despite the disappointing reviews fans were amazed by the amounts of blood they could pile up on the screen in one battle, and the impressive variety of weapons that featured many unique throws and combos to keep your ninja fix for a very long time.It was of no surprise that Team Ninja announced a recreation of Ninja Gaiden 2 earlier in the year as the company has a tendency t...

Truely a summation of its parts 0

Sigma is a character in the Greek Alphabet that means “Sum of all values”. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for the Playstation 3 takes the title of “Sigma” and truly delivers on its meaning. This installment of Ninja Gaiden is truly a summation of the series. As its title suggests the game is an enhanced port from the Xbox 360 version that was released in June 2008 amidst some heavy in-fighting and company strife at Tecmo. While the first version version was fun it showed a lack of polish that is not commo...

An enjoyable 3D action game marred by frame rate and presentation issues. 0

Ninja Gaiden Σ2+ is a difficult game to recommend. A mostly playable and entertaining 3D action game on the Vita is always welcome. On the other hand, frame rate issues hinder the fluidity of combat and responsiveness of the controls, both expected staples of any respectable action game. Those who do brave the technical missteps of Team NINJA's port of a port will find a 10 hour single player story and many hours of extra content. The single player story of Σ2+ revolves around protagonist Ryu Hay...

    Solid Character Action Experience 0

Having quit halfway through Ninja Gaiden Sigma due to absurd checkpoints, I was overjoyed to see that almost all my complaints from the first game have been addressed in the sequel.  At it's core, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is a gorgeous, fast-paced action game that allows you to perform flashy combos with a variety of weapons.  The game gives you enough challenge to incent you to learn the different moves and experiment with new weapons.  I appreciated the fact that while the combat is challenging, t...

    No blood? No problem! 0

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 (let's just call it NGS2) is a PS3 remake of the 2008 X360 game, Ninja Gaiden II. And what a remake it is! If you're completely new to the franchise, here's a quick introduction: the Ninja Gaiden series consists of fourteen (yes, 14) action adventure games that have been known throughout the years for being extremely difficult and bloody satisfying. Let me put it this way: you think you can play games? Pick up a copy of Ninja Gaiden II for the 360, play it on the hardest dif...

Follows up on the original with stunning results. 0

Ryu Hayabasa receives a message from a woman by the name of Sonia, that the Black Spider Clan are attempting to awaken the four Greater Fiends of legend in an attempt to destroy his clan. He encounters a woman by the name of Elizabet, and this later leads him back to his village which is soon under attack; Ryu pursues Elizabet and learns exactly what she's planning. -summaryNinja Gaiden has proven to be a success since its release on the X-Box back in 2004.
