3DS XL for Fire Emblem

A week ago, I asked around on the forums on whether to buy a 3DS XL or the Fire Emblem bundle to prepare for the release of Fire Emblem Awakening. I just bought one today and am enjoying the system. I got the demo for Awakening and Adventure Time.

I just have to buy a screen protector for the thing and some other games as well. What are some good ones to pick up? I plan to get Fire Emblem when it's available on February 4. I also plan to get Adventure Time as well. I have already played Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 already. Any suggestions would be awesome.

How different is the 3DS version to the PS2 version, is there a significant one?

@McBonJon: It's a straight port. There's only some minor differences between the two like the 3DS version having shorter load times and the PS2 version having slighter better graphics and framerate.

@McBonJon: Being a longtime fan of the Final Fantasy series, I agree with @TopSteer about Theatrhythm and Tales of the Abyss. The great part about ToA is that they got rid of the ANNOYINGLY LONG load times from when you finish a fight with a mob on the world map. In terms of retail releases, I've also enjoyed Super Mario 3D Land a whole lot (it's actually the only 3DS game I've finished thus far.)

If you're not adversed to picking up digital releases, I'd very highly recommend Pushmo. I haven't yet played its sequel, Crashmo, but I did purchase it and would like to get to it soon.

@McBonJon: How are you liking the 3DS XL? I'm curious about upgrading from my DS this week, too. Fire Emblem is beckoning, and since Best Buy has it for $20 off, I'm intrigued.
