They still havn't given these games out. Wow Nintendo is really screwing up lately...

Game Boy Advance 3DS Ambassador Lineup Mostly Revealed
3, many 4 games you really give a shit about. The rest, not so much. Only condoning this if you own them....but you wouldn't realize how much better these games look and sound on a pc emulator. Rendering a gba game at 1280x720 looks surprisingly amazing. The sound chip in the 3ds is so low, you really can't fully enjoy the game. Plus with these games being 4:3....to play them right, they'll be sooo small
Those free GBA games are better than a majority of the existing 3DS library, lol! Not too shabby, Ninty.
Super Circuit sucks. The racing model is pretty much busted, which is to be expected from any sprite based racing game. I suppose if you only ever played the SNES Mario Kart, it's okay. But for anyone used to the drifting/physics of any other Mario Kart (or racer, for that matter), it's not good.
I also don't care for those stupid, ugly Warioware games.
Everything else is aces. This is a fine, fine list.
I'm pretty pleased with the list. When they first announced they were doing 10 games, but only announced 5 of them, I was pretty sure the remaining ones would be utter drek, so it's great to see things like Kirby and Minish Cap on there.

Sooo small, like they originally were on the GBA? How does the PC magically make the games sound better, are you implying that the 3DS can't handle sound as well as the GBA could? And no, they do not look amazing in 1280x720, they'll look horribly stretched and pixelated.
Also, owning games does not make emulation of them legal.
When are they going to properly sell GBA games? I bought a 3DS this week and would love to buy the GBA Fire Emblem games. They're gonna sell these. They would be utter idiots if they didn't. Nintendo is a business. I would assume that they would be doing ANYTHING to make more money.
They'll probably start selling GBA games when they're done releasing GBC games, which could be a while with the speed they're releasing them at.
But Nintendo did say they had no plans to sell these games separately and that they're completely exclusive to ambassadors.. I'd just expect that to change in a year or two.
Since I can't make new topics this is as good a place as any to tell you guys Nintendo is giving away Mario and DK: Minis March Again for 150 coins on their Club Nintendo site. If you haven't been there, you get 150 coins just for registering your 3DS so go get it.

Metroid Fusion is my favorite Metroid game.
I almost wish I'd bought a 3DS now.
Have you ever played super metroid?
Hey now A.I. man, Metroid Fusion is fantastic.
I did, but not until after I played Fusion (played it for the first time on Wii VC). It was pretty great too, but Fusion was like a super polished version of it, so I liked Fusion better.

This is an extremely generous offering from nintendo. Little bit of everything, no chuff. This along with the 10 free NES games more than makes up for them.
Not really....I think vouchers for a free 3DS game or two would have been better than 20 old games I don't get to choose. $80 price drop within 4 months of the console feels shitty to early adopters, this does not make up for it.
Either way, I knew the 3DS was a stupid purchase when I bought it.
A voucher would have been nice, but then that involves other companies and that would end up being weird. This is about the best they could have done within their limits, apart from a refund.
The choice between 20 free old games or 1 free Nintendo published 3ds game would have been another option, but then that starts getting complicated, involves tangibles and not infinitely reproducible copies of digital games and could easily mess up further pissing off the "Ambassadors".
Looks like the games are out in Australia and New Zealand early.

Exactly. I bought this 3DS for a ridiculous price when there were no games out and none on the horizon and I knew it was a stupid purchase. Which is exactly why I'll take whatever they give me and be glad I got it because they didn't have to give me shit to make up for my dumbass decision.

Good job on being a dumbass, I guess? If I had $250 to blow, I probably wouldn't blow it on something I *knew* I would dislike from the get go.
Now $250 was a hard pill to swallow, and if it wasn't for Gamestop's power trade deals and a shitload of games I just didn't care for anymore, I wouldn't have bit that bullet. But the early months weren't too bad; Pilotwings was a neat tech demo, the early store brought some nostalgia and a few gems I never played due to a lack of a DS Lite.
Yes, the price drop felt like a tap to the balls, but I've been apart of this whole Video Game hobby since '88. I know price drops are just a thing you deal with and expect. At least we got a few games as reimbursement. And I'd take those 10 games over a free 3DS title any day.
Someone outside of Nintendo must have made this list for them. It's the only thing that makes sense.

Minish cap still good, but, IT SHOULD BE A LINK TO THE PAST, WHEN THE FUCK ARE WE GETTING A 3DS PORT FOR THAT!
They hinted multiple times at a 3D-ified version they're "interested" in making. Expect that at some point since that would sell like crazy.
I'm currently downloading the games (EU) and I'm noticing something very cool: they improved the process! You still have to go into the settings and select titles you've downloaded but only ONCE. If you click "continue" once your download has finished, it brings you right back to the list of games so you merely have to click on "redownload" instead of going through all the menus again!
It's cool that they seem to listen to complaints, for once!

@DeF: Even BETTER THAN THAT, if you select 'Download in Sleep mode' (or whatever it says), it adds them to a download queue that downloads them all at once when you close your console. No waiting for each to finish. YES MATE.
Unfortunately, I read that after I manually downloaded each one...
They could've made the wording a bit more obvious with vocabulary we're used to :)
Still, very cool that they improved the process!
