Anyone know of a guide to get this set up?

You need a Japanese-region 3DS.

I'm having trouble on how to enter the mailing address.

It says there's a possibility a wrong email address was provided. It asks to confirm the address and try again. Then is says that if a correct address is provided and the error persists, try use another email address.

@mitch0712: I figured that might have been the case. It happens quite often :p Hope you'll be fine with Japanese games. Don't know what you'll be playing but in case you like jrpg I recommend Youkai Watch :D

when registering a nintendo I'd on 3ds, it says it erases your funds on your american account if you had a Nintendo ID and then sign in as a different country.

I was unlikely to ever sign in to Japanese eshop but things like that scare me off. But I caved in and registered a nintendo I'd anyway.

so if comic studio never comes to usa, at least I can post on miiverse! x(
