So with Kid Icarus: Uprising breathing some new life into that franchise, I was thinking about other games from Nintendo's past that I'd like to see given the same treatment. Not necessarily just Nintendo's own games, though. Personally I'd like to see Mischief Makers given the stereoscopic treatment, that was a fun 2D platformer!
Nintendo 3DS

The Nintendo 3DS is a portable game console produced by Nintendo. The handheld features stereoscopic 3D technology that doesn't require glasses. It was released in Japan on February 26, 2011 and in North America on March 27, 2011.
What games from older Nintendo consoles do you want to see reborn
Blaster Master. There's so many things they could do with that game nowadays. Although depending on what happened to Sunsoft, the licensing situation might end up putting it on another console

It's good to have both, don't you think? Besides, you can still get something new within the same franchise: Uprising is nothing like the original Kid Icarus.
@HailinelOh 3DS. In that case, Kid Icarus is practically new at this point given that it plays nothing like its predecessors. The gameplay is all new, and I imagine that there are a lot of people playing Uprising that never played the earlier games. For the 3DS? That's news to me.@Galiant said:

We have been getting new titles. Xenoblade ring a bell?
Yeah, I'm going to say that old game revivals are kind of worthless and Nintendo's development umbrella has such amazingly creative people that I really want to see Nintendo start pumping out new stuff.
But if I have to take a re-imagining...
Gargoyles Quest was a pretty awesome side-scrolling platformer for the Gameboy that apparently had a couple of sequels (I had no idea), but could make for an interesting revival.
I'd also like to see them make a new Donkey Kong game in the style of the Gameboy title. I'm sure I've mentioned this on the site before... and also mentioned that the "spirtual successors" of the Minis games aren't remotely the same.
When we inevitably see a new Castlevania title (astounds me we haven't heard anything on the 3DS front), I want it to be in the style of Castlevania 3 and no more of this Metroidvania, "we've done this a million times and none of them actually compare to Symphony of the Night" crap. Although I do love the Sorrow series to death (and played them before playing Symphony), I'm just sick of that formula. No, not even Order of Ecclasia counts. It was kind of a hybrid of the two styles, and I think it failed on both ends. Not popular opinion, I know... a lot of people adored that game. I didn't.

Virtual Boy Wario Land.
Yes, definitely this (just as long as there's an option to turn the red greyscale).

I dont think it would be too much work for them to color the sprites. This game deserves it anyways. Its one of the best Mario games ever made but nobody has ever played it.

I *was* going to say this. It's a game I obviously missed out on, and one of two games from the VirtualBoy I think look great (though they didn't necessarily use the 3D to its potential) and want to play. The other is Mario Clash.
You saying you wouldn't get excited for a Nester's Funky Bowling revival? Get outta here!

I own that game and believe it or not I still play it. Its not terrible.
For the record, I think VBWL makes great use of 3D.
Also wasn't there a thread about this a month ago? I think I said Star Tropics in that one. Fucking fuck!
