Hello. I never owned a GB or GBA. I have a shiny new $20 eShop prepaid card and I want to spend it exclusively on GB (or NES) titles on the 3DS . What do I download? Thank you!
Nintendo 3DS

The Nintendo 3DS is a portable game console produced by Nintendo. The handheld features stereoscopic 3D technology that doesn't require glasses. It was released in Japan on February 26, 2011 and in North America on March 27, 2011.
What GB games do I download from eShop?
@poprocksandsoda: Definitely get Link's Awakening DX. The Oracle games are coming "this summer" as well, so keep those in your sights. Donkey Kong (also known as Donkey Kong '94) is a must - it's the Game Boy game, make sure you're not buying anything else named Donkey Kong.
- Super Mario Land
- Super Mario Land 2
- Metroid II - Return of Samus (though I only recommend that if you're a big Metroid fan)
- Mole Mania (an oft-forgotten Miyamoto joint from the early days)
- Bionic Commando - I think the GB game is also well regarded
- Mystical Ninja starring Goemon - Goemon is always nice to have around!
- Legend of the River King - fishing RPG
- Harvest Moon GBC - it's a classic. Get this if you've never experienced the joy of a Harvest Moon game
- Wario games - can't say much about those since I've never played any but people like them so I guess you can't really go wrong there.
- Toki Tori - warm yourself up for the sequel!
Blaster Master: Enemy Below - if you liked Blaster Master on the NES
There're also a few Mega Mans, Castlevania, Ghosts & Goblins, Gradius, Punch Out etc games from the NES on there if you care for those.
Not many Sega Game Gear games on there, though. But if you want Shinobi, you can get that.
Link's Awakening
My man knows what the deal is.
Haven't seen a mention in here for Fortified Zone yet. That game is tight, pretty sure it's only $2.99 as well.
- Link's Awakening - My personal favourite 'Zelda' game.
- Mario's Picross - If the other 2 picross games aren't available in your region, then get this.
- Catrap - Seriously, this is a genuinely great puzzle game.
- Trip World - I won't lie, it's not a particularly great game; but, the pixels and audio are some of, if not, the best you'll find for the GB; so, it's definitely worth it if you want to see what the GB was capable of aesthetically.
- Metroid II - Personally, I enjoyed this more than the original Metroid.
These are some great titles to pick up:
Pushmo, Sakura samurai, Link's awakening, Zen pinball and Mighty switch force.

I don't even like Zelda games and playing Link's Awakening DX on my Gameboy Colour as a kid was one of the best experiences I ever had with that thing. IDK if it's on there or how well it holds up, but I went nuts for Warlocked as well.
For a second there I was wondering why I didn't hear about Giant Bomb releasing a game on eshop.
This is what I thought too. Now I'm sad there isn't giant bomb 3DS game.
