Favourite DS Adventure Game?
Well, the DS is pretty much at the end of its life. It's unlikely that there's going to be (m)any more big adventure games released for it; so, I suppose now's a good time to ask what people's favourite DS adventures are.
Personally, I would pick Ghost Trick, with 999 and Layton 1 as runners up.
So many good DS adventure games... I think Professor Layton and the Curious Village is my fav, followed closely by Phoenix Wright and 999.
I'm surprised at the amount of these I've played.
Um, I'll go with Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 1 because even though I love all of the games in the series, I had never played something like the first one before. Plus, Prosecutor Von Karma was probably the best "final boss" in the series to date.
Hard to not vote for Ghost Trick, though.
I absolutely love the three Ace Attorney games, but Ghost Trick is probably the most engaging from a gameplay standpoint.
Hotel Dusk is pretty ace. Ghost Trick is more of a puzzle game with a great story. I really enjoyed both of those.
I guess I'll go with Ghost Trick. I love the Phoenix Wright games, but they tend to wear me out with all the reading and putting things together.
Hotel Dusk. Not just one of my favorite DS games but one of my favorite adventure games across the board.
999 is designed by Kotaro Uchikoshi, co-writer who worked on Ever17. I guess that's meaningless to most people on Giant Bomb, but it was the sole reason I picked it up, and it turned out to be fantastic. It's hard to make a call on "best" when I've never touched most of the other games on this list, but that would easily be my winner.
I love me some Layton, some Phoenix Wright (especially Trials & Tribulations... hated Apollo Justice, though)... but, man, 999 is amazing. I'm so fucking disappointed that the sequel is not coming to Europe, and can't import it from the US because the 3DS is region locked. Bummer.

Rising Star Games is publishing it in Europe, but I don't think a release date has been given. Since it's being based off of Atlus' English translation, I'd say some time after that.

Atlus isn't doing the localization of Virtue's Last Reward. That's being released by Aksys.
