Actually it AAC format is not supported by the DSi. I have a DSi and tried to convert my songs to AAC format on a SD card and then play them on my DSi but it said there where no files.

Yeah, I had that problem earlier. It reads AAC extensions, not AAC itself. It said so in the manual. I just chose MP4 for some random reason as my choice, hence why I chose MP3 to MP4.
