The Decisive Quality DS List
Looking very nice indeed. Very well done and good use of boxart." Also, I want people to tell me what they think of the changes I've made to the OP. "
That list is only marginally longer than my game collection ^-^
I finally updated my lists yesterday, so the DS is now 101 games on the list, but in reality, it is 108 games strong
My Nintendo DS collection.
Dude, I count just 6 clunkers in my collection!!!!!!! They were for the kids when younger, but I just can't sell games, it isn't in me. I count at least 65 games I consider awesome." @oldschool: Yeah yeah, we know you own a lot of games :P. Hopefully you can make your collection match my list at some point (which means selling the clunkers :P) Anything you'd like to see done with the boxart? "
From your list though, I still need the following for sure:
A Castlevania game or 3
One more Phoenix Wright (that I won't get time to play)
Jump All Stars
other than that, I have everything in your must haves.
From the 2nd tier, I am certain to get:
Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes (Strategy)
Phantasy Star Zero (RPG)
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor (RPG)
Mario and Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story (RPG)
Scribblenauts (Puzzle)
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (Strategy)
Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days (RPG)
Knights in the Knightmare (Stragegy)
Valkyrie Profile: Covanent of the Plume (Strategy)
Avalon Code (RPG)
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga: Endless Frontier (Action)
Lunar Knights (Action)
Nostalgia (RPG)
Suikoden Teirkreis (RPG)
Luminous Arc / Luminous Arc 2 (Strategy)
Y's Books 1 and 2 (RPG)
Etrian Oddessey / Etrian Oddessey 2 (RPG)
The Dark Spire (RPG)
My World, My Way (RPG)
Mmmmmmm,it seems I like RPG and strategy ^-^
I am fine with the boxart you are using, but you could add Blue Dragon Plus to your 2nd tier, and also Dragon Quest Monsters Joker & Dragon Quest Heroes Rocket Slime, they are all worthy of inclusion.
If you put Jump Ultimate Stars (an import game), might as well recommend Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! 1 and 2 on there as well.
Say AgentJ, now that KH 358/2 Days has won 7 of Nintendo Power's Reader's Choice awards, including Overall Game of the Year, shouldn't it get promoted to Must-Have status? :P
" Say AgentJ, now that KH 358/2 Days has won 7 of Nintendo Power's Reader's Choice awards, including Overall Game of the Year, shouldn't it get promoted to Must-Have status? :P "Tempting, but I'd like to keep that first section at 10 titles. Will putting it closer to the top make you happy?
Well, there is a spelling error. It's Suikoden Tierkreis, not Teirkreis. :)
Other than that, no. Wonderful. I got Sands of Destruction because its on there, and I trust the JRPG assessment of gb members more than I trust metacritic. Good thing I did, the game is pretty sweet and very refreshing, story-wise. I am eager to continue this journey. (metacritic rating: 61)
The games aren't really in order from best to worst, which is why I separated the games into three tiers. Would it be better if I put them in alphabetical order to clarify that?" the world ends with you on first place?
ewww :E
i don't understand how everybody is so hyped about it, i thought the controls were awful
"
Also, I disagree about the controls, but even then there was an option to only control one character at a time.

It really makes me really happy to know that people use the list. Thanks for the comments!
I updated the list to reflect the recent releases of Pokemon and Infinite Space. I haven't gotten a chance to play my copy of Infinite Space, but based on what I have heard about the customization and other play mechanics, it is definitely not for the feint of heart. After playing it, I may bump it up a section depending on what I think about it.
I cant find The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks there.

" You need to move WarioWare DIY to the Must Have from the upcoming, based on the popularity and reviews. Must bet it myself. "
Hrm, I don't even have touched on "Must Have", and I loved it. Let me think on it for a little while. Maybe it is time to expand the must have list.
Can anybody confirm for me whether Windy X Windam is coming out this week? Either Joystiq, Kotaku, or 4 color Rebellion had it on their release list for the week, and I had heard it was coming out soon but I haven't found any other concrete information. Supposedly its coming out on wednesday.
What the hell is this Windy x Windam?
So far on the cover I noticed the two characters from Izuna: The unemployed ninja. Looks like a 2D fighting game of some sort...
Well, I consider the 2nd Bleach game made by Treasure to be the best 2D fighting game on the system so it's probably going to be a tough act to follow.

I've had my eye on it for years and supposedly now I can get my paws on it.
Playasia have it listed for sale:" @animateria said:

Windy x Windam
$45 - it is one of the more expensive ones.

" @oldschool: Thing is, I don't really think it is coming out tomorrow. Amazon only has the Japanese version listed, and I haven't found it anywhere else. "Oh crap, I gave you a Japanese version link. My bad on that one. The US version says "Out of print/Out of stock". Windy X Windam It says it was released Jan 12, 2010. I clearly have no idea anymore. Make sure you get back to this if you find out what happened.
" @AgentJ said:WIll do. I went on the developers website, but they aren't easy people to get a hold of. Hello decisive quality DS games thread.
I have recently finished Miles Edgeworth and am now looking for a game that is similarily adaptive to all sorts of playing styles i.e. playable wherever I like, playable with sound muted, playable with button input OR touchscreen; a game that doesn't require that much attention or time, and that I can play half asleep, with one finger only, or standing in the bus or tram.

"I assume you've played the other Phoenix Wright games. All of your stipulations point right at Might and Magic Clash of Heroes. Doesn't require attention (turn based), playable with button input/touchscreen, can play half asleep with one finger (can't imagine what the other fingers are being used for) and is great for public transportation.
Others:
I haven't played the Jake Locker remake that came out, but it should be right up the same alley.
Tetris DS
Fire Emblem
Clubhouse games
Disgaea (I pretty much only play it when I'm half asleep)
Theres others, but those are some examples.
" Picross 3D should probably be added. I haven't played a puzzle game this solid since the sudoku part (AKA the good part) of of Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training. "Done
Yeah, so it's supposed to be getting a western release tomorrow... "

I can't remember the last time I got a "western release"
" Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey should be on this list. "Fixed.
You need to move Dragon Quest IX from upcoming to "super awesome, my life is incomplete without it" status. WarioWare D.I.Y. needs a home out of upcoming as well.
this list is in dire need of some Soul Bubbles and Robocalypse love for the niche sections!
Have 30, 20, or even 10 bucks just burning a hole in your pocket?
You need to fix this to reflect Giant Bomb's international audience. New DS games typically cost $73 here in Norway, with some popular titles (like the Pokémon games) cost as much as $91.
@AgentJ said:I suppose so, but I imagine many of these games aren't even available in Norway, my heritage country. besides, at this point most DS games that will be available won't be brand new.Have 30, 20, or even 10 bucks just burning a hole in your pocket? You need to fix this to reflect Giant Bomb's international audience. Why would you think that? If it's out in Europe, it's out in Norway (which is, obviously, in Europe).I suppose so, but I imagine many of these games aren't even available in Norway, my heritage country. besides, at this point most DS games that will be available won't be brand new.
But yeah, didn't think about the fact that the price drops in most cases, I'll give you that one. I did a quick search of a couple of Norwegian web-shops, and most older DS games cost around $35-55.
But no biggie, I mostly just needed to vent a bit about how expensive shit is here ;p
Edit: Oh, and also, WarioWare D.I.Y. came out a year and a half ago.
