I am currently playing Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker and was caught by surprise at the censorship in the game.  When you go to name your monsters, some seemingly innocuous names will not be allowed.  One example was the name Fagan.  It is a Dickensian thing, but I assume, the start of the name Fag, gets it blocked.

Of course, that only tempted me to try out other names.  Anything with Bugger will fail, as will the obvious Penis and Vag(anything).  Strangely enough, I thought that Jesus would fail, bit my Healslime took the name no problems.  Must remember to try Mohammed :P  You can beat some with the obvious vowel replacement like a 'y' for an 'i'.

So, I am trying to remember if any other game had similar censorship.  I thought that I may have seen it before, but I fail at remembering what.  I am sure Pokemon didn't have it.  I mean, what is the point really.  It seems silly if you ask me.

Anyone else struck this in games and what are your views on it.

Breath of Fire 3 had a naked chick (butt and front totally visible) outside one of the game's huge dungeons, and she even pointed out that she was naked.  Granted, this was all in the incredible detail of the PS1 era, but I thought it was weird considering how other things get censored. 

Also, there's a lot of monster boob in Castlevania: SotN, and other Castlevania games.

Oh, and don't forget Andariel from Diablo 2.  I guess because she's not human her nakedness isn't considered legit nudity.
