so i missed m ost of it guys, what's the release date and price?

#153 Posted by CrossTheAtlantic (1145 posts) -

Man, this E3 has been kind of a bummer. A few cool things, but man. You can really tell it's the end of this generation, and the studios have all moved on to the next minus a game here or there.

My red name might be going grey after this.

So i assume that from every persons reaction to each conference that i should just stop playing video games because everything is absolute shit. Fuck everyone, i saw a lot that looked fun from each event.

#156 Posted by TheKing (834 posts) -

So disappointing after such a strong start... Oh well, I'll getting a Wii U day 1 anyway as long as Mario and Pikman 3 are launch titles.

#157 Posted by Doty8 (5 posts) -

Let's end the show with FIREWORKS!

#158 Posted by HarlequinRiot (1098 posts) -

I expected Sony and Microsoft to have tame conferences, but I figured Nintendo's would be more exciting because of the console launch. Felt like a mid-life conference, not a launch one.

#159 Posted by DrColeslaw (33 posts) -

That was a bit strange....no tech specs, no release date?

#160 Edited by Bob_Loblaw (110 posts) -

No price, date or specs for a system releasing later this year. Really? Think the boys may have to pack their bags for TGS this year.

It's simple

Ubisoft was great, Sony was good, EA was ok, Microsoft was bad, Nintendo was bad

#166 Posted by WinterSnowblind (7616 posts) -

I thought Nintendoland looked okay as a replacement for Wii Sports. But they implied that it'd be an actual retail game.. surely not?

Nintendo said weeks ago they weren't talking about pricing or release date.

#168 Posted by Chop (1997 posts) -

Well...at least Pikmin...right guys?

man, that was so fucking boring.

#169 Posted by Cloudenvy (5891 posts) -

@Vinny_Says: No price, no date.

#170 Posted by kogasu (148 posts) -

Overall, it was very "meh." Nothing really jumped out at me but at least I wasn't actively hating that many things like some of the other conferences.

Because of one boring press conference?

#174 Posted by jmood88 (394 posts) -

This was easily the worst conference of the three platform holders and the worst thing I've seen in general. I hope that all the game press who whined about sequels say something about the 3 or 4 Mario games that Nintendo announced.

#175 Posted by MjHealy (1850 posts) -

I think I have been unsold on the Wii U.

They say that it is a new evolution in video games but, to me, it doesn't look like that all. In 2006 with the Wii, you can see a clear new way to play with motion controls. However, with the Wii U, it's just a screen. That's all. So far, it seems like a dumping ground for gimmicky mechanics and inventory screens. They had Pikmin and a New Mario Bros game but that's about it. We have a smattering of 2011/2012 releases re-jigged onto the platform and my optimism has been replaced with the usual cynicism.

The 3DS line-up was pretty strong, though, even if it was short.

#176 Posted by wilsouk (38 posts) -

What a crock of sh*t. I love Nintendo but come on, help us to help you, help us to help you.

Microsoft: D

EA: D

Ubisoft: C+

Sony: D+

Nintendo: D

Two.
The lack of info, no games, nothing worth being excited for.
#179 Posted by RandomInternetUser (6789 posts) -

What the fuck.. "Banana."

#180 Posted by Sooty (8082 posts) -

Arkham City looked worse than the PS3 and 360 versions. Who are they kidding?

#181 Posted by AuthenticM (3724 posts) -

What a fucking waste of time. I cannot believe that they brought Warner Bros. on the stage to discuss a port of a game that has already been released last year. Yup, this thing is going the way of the dodo the second the PS4 and the next Xbox are released. No one will buy a WiiU for anything other than buying Nintendo first-party games.

E3 never really lives up to it hype, so no matter what happens people are disappointed. That, and people like to talk crap, and complain.

Personally, i think the press events this year were alright, I liked the games at Ubi the best, but the hosting was horrible. EA was average in every sense of it. MS spent too much time talking about apps. Sony had stuff, that i don't remember, so i'll say it was unremarkable. And Nintendo had some solid titles, but only Pikmin 3 stood out.

#183 Edited by BPRJCTX (704 posts) -

What a shit fest...

I can't believe i thought they would go back to core gamers...

I thought the Sony Press Conference was bad, but this was just insulting...

Ubisoft stole the show.

Goodbye Nintendo.

#184 Posted by PeasantAbuse (5138 posts) -

Bananas, classic. I've only seen 5 minutes but this is a train wreck.

It looks like the DS, except Nintendo doesn't even seem to care about making interesting games for it. You'll see ports with shoehorned second screen stuff in it and games featuring Mario and Friends.

But I am crazy, so that's cool.
Been rooting for them so long every time and they still refuse to do anything worth while.

Show the games, give us the release info, show us more GAMEPLAY.
Gameplay is what made and makes Nintendo.
Not fucking Nintendoland.

This is so weird. I thought you guys were Nintendo-supporters because of all the things you've experienced, not their current state.

But, whatever. For reference, my name is blue because I like the color blue.
