Nintendo was founded in Kyoto, Japan in 1889 as a manufacturer of hanafuda playing cards. The company went through several small niche businesses before becoming a video game company.
It's very clear that Nintendo sees it's future with the new era of gamers, it's where the market is. Just because we are not interested in what they have to offer does not mean that countless other people are. Does anyone believe at this point that Nintendo even needs "core" gamers anymore?
For this generation the casual gamer has chosen the Wii and DS and for a lot of them it's the only console they will ever own.
" Dare I say it ... I WAS MORE IMPRESSED WITH UBISOFT THAN NINTENDO said ... "
How? "
Both were really boring and bad ... just Ubi was a little less bad than the Big N ... game wise I saw more from Ubi that I'd buy than I did for the Wii.I wish Nintendo would go back to being cool like the SNES and N64 ... the gamecube sucked, traded it in for £25 :( "
Dang! I would never trade the Gamecube. It was way too good to give away. And besides, I think you are exaggerating.
